To say I have been eating my way through Europe would be an understatement. From traditional Spanish cuisines such as Jamon Iberico and gelato to a new take on the classic American burger. Here are some of my favorite meals from my time in Spain.

Gelato
For me, Spanish gelato was love at first scoop. Small gelato shops can be found all over the city of Sevilla, but there is a high concentration of them located around the Cathedral because they make the perfect sweet treat for the hoards of sweaty tourists. In the photo I am eating the iconic rose shaped gelato from Amorino but if you are looking for a more authentic gelato experience try ducking into any of the alleyways off of the cathedral to find a local gelato shop. My favorite flavor it the yogurt flavor with berries. It is the perfect mix of sweet and refreshing, and it goes well with any flavor combination.

Pastéis de Nata
If you have read my Lisbon post, then you have already heard about my love for this traditional Portuguese dessert. I highly recommend that you wait until you arrive in Portugal to try a Pastéis de Nata because they aren’t as tasty anywhere else. I have spent the rest of my abroad experience hunting for the perfect recreation in Seville with no success. It is truly a one-of-a-kind desert experience.

Goat Cheese Burger
Behold! The tastiest burger I have ever put in my mouth. I discovered this perfect patty at the Manifesto market in Prague. This burger has goat cheese, jam, and caramelized onions topped off with a warm freshly baked bun. The ingredients melted in my mouth and created a unique flavor pallet that I have never experienced before. I will travel back to Prague to eat this burger again one day.

Super Sandwich
This is the Instagram famous super sandwich from Brunch and Cake. This brunch spot in Barcelona is a staple of all study abroad student and is known for their yummy food and photo ready presentation. The sandwich contained seasoned shredded chicken, salsa, guacamole, and jalapenos and rested on a pile of tortilla chips!. The best part is the sandwich comes with a syringe of Guacamole for you to pour on the chips. This was the prettiest and tastiest sandwich I’ve had during my time in Europe.
